What Is Cloud 9?

On behalf of the Cloud 9 Leadership Team, we want to invite you to our upcoming annual Great Lakes Regional Vineyard Youth Retreat. The past retreats have proven to be extremely fruitful for the groups that have attended and we expect that this year will be no exception.

Cloud 9 2006 is scheduled for October 27-29, 2006 at Michindoh Retreat Center in Hillsdale, MI.

The retreat is designed to stoke the fire that fuels our furnace and to provide a framework for students to embrace the intimacy of the Father’s heart , which provides the inner motivation that makes Christianity an inside-out experience. Within this framework students will gain practical skills for hearing his voice, and recognizing those promptings from the Spirit that open the door to God’s extravagant grace.

This Great Lakes Region Vineyard Youth Retreat is sponsored by Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and West Virginia Vineyards that are focused specifically on the kingdom type of living that Jesus came to illustrate for us in our lives. Of course we're also very excited about the incredible opportunity that this retreat provides for our students to passionately worship God until their legs grow weary beneath them! We are in awe of God's awesome mercy towards us and only hope to humbly response to his call--the personal individual call that he has placed in our lives. This retreat time is an awesome way for us to share what God is doing and what he wants for us.

The retreat kicks off on Friday night; workshops, free time, and a concert are sandwiched by sessions (including worship and prayer ministry) Saturday morning and evening, and the retreat closes with a celebration on Sunday morning. The cost of this year’s event is $99 per person. This cost includes lodging, an event t-shirt, snacks on Friday evening, meals on Saturday, Sunday morning. You can purchase additional meals on Friday evening or Sunday afternoon for $5 per person/meal. Each retreat follows a basic schedule of events for activities, sessions, free time, and meals. Registration will open September 3rd and run through October 15th.

Once again, our hope is that students will experience several things at this retreat:

1. We want students to reap the encouragement that comes from meeting hundreds of students who share a similar church/spiritual background.

2. We want to place students directly under the outpouring of God's spirit. We expect that most students will be seriously strengthened and refreshed.

3. We want to challenge students to live lives worthy of their calling in Christ Jesus.

This event is open to any youth group (including non Vineyard Churches) and all teens between 6th and 12th grade. If you know of any group that would like to participate, please send them to this website or notify us and we will send them a Cloud 9 Group Packet. The upcoming retreat will be limited to 550 participants, so register your group as soon as possible!
